WHAT MARKETING IS NOT.
Sales. Marketing is not sales. Your marketer shouldn't be getting on the phone with clients. Your marketer isn't there to upsell your customers. Nothing can replace a good sales team, nor can solid marketing be replaced by sales. These are two vastly different animals and in most cases you will need at least one salesperson to pick up where marketing left off.
PR. Marketing isn't Public Relations. Public Relations teams manipulate marketing in favor of a brand or company. PR folk are interested in having your target customers see you in a favorable light out in public. They will want those who experience your company to feel excited, happy or outright in love with whatever you're offering. Needless to say, marketing does not take on this task, although there are some limited online PR services that we provide.
Marketing and Online Marketing
We believe in marketing as state of being, an adjective or "to be.." For us, good marketing is defined as
"being experienced by the right customer, at the right time in as many times, and in as many places as possible, to influence sales"
With online marketing all this activity occurs online instead of in person or by hand/tactile means. That's simple enough, right?
